(cross post from www.ulvog.wordpress.com) New standard mileage rates for 2011 from IRS announcement:
- “51 cents per mile for business miles driven
- “19 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes
- “14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations”
Based on my experience, almost all ministries use the official IRS rates for reimbursing staff for personal use of their vehicle on ministry activity. If you go over that $0.51 rate, there are reporting and taxability complications.
