5 blogs to start reading

Here is a simple way to jump-start your continuous learning.  Check out the following blogs on a regular basis. Even better to put them on your RSS feed. (More on that later.)

Great way to keep your L>=C equation balanced.

Accounting Today published their list of the top 100 most influential people.  Some of the influential bloggers:

Going Concern – Caleb Newquist – editor of Going Concern blog – slightly irreverent source of news from the trenches of public accounting – great source for general accounting & finance news updates.

The Summa – David Albrecht – Accounting professor – active in social media and opposing IFRS implementation.

Golden Practices – Michelle Golden – social media whiz and marketing consultant to professional firms.

CPA success – Tom Hood, CEO and executive director Maryland Society of CPAs.

Taxprof blog – Paul Caron –Law professor – tax and legal updates.

I’ve been reading three of the above blogs for quite some time.  Added the other two on my RSS reader.

Oh, and if you are looking for something to read, the first book to get is from Michelle Golden:  Social Media Strategies for Professionals and Their Firms

For a longer description of the above people see Professor Albrecht’s more detailed post at Bloggers, Profs Make Accounting Today Top 100.

Superb brain stretching stuff from all of the above.  Good insights.  Great writers.  Fun to read.
