I’ve not been reading the federal court filings for Mr. Bryan Shaw, partner in crime of former KPMG partner Mr. Scott London. Started looking at them this evening.
Most pertinent information at the moment is that his sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 19, 2014 at 8 a.m.
The sentencing has been postponed several times.
After entering a guilty plea on May 20, 2013, the sentencing has been scheduled for:
- September 16
- November 18
- January 23
- February 24
- May 19
Sentencing position papers are due by May 5. The postponement to May 19 is the first one that orders sentencing papers to be filed. The docket does not indicate the U.S. probation staff have submitted a presentencing report (PSR).
Based on my limited knowledge, I’ll guess that all means the sentencing will be postponed again. I’ll guess the PSR will probably be held until after Mr. London’s sentencing and then the feds and Mr. Shaw’s attorney will both need time to respond to the PSR.
Update: 14 months.
