Reminders on Yellow Book audits

leave a comment »

Charles Hall has some great reminders on special rules for Yellow Book engagements at his blog, CPA-Scribo.

Yellow Book CPE Requirements – A recap of the special CPE rules. Condensed: You need 80 hours of classes enhancing your professional proficiency and 24 hour related to the specialized areas of your clients. Hyper-condensed:  80 hours A&A, 24 hours A-133.

See the post for an uncondensed version.

Additional Yellow Book Requirements for Performing Financial Audits – There are specific additional requirements for an audit. Just two examples: there are specified elements of developing a finding and certain additional documentation requirements.

New Data Collection Form – Single Audits – Describes the new form for use in 2013.

2013 Data Collection Form Filing Deadline Extended – Again.

If you provide Yellow Book audits to your clients, it would be worth every moment of the time it takes to read those posts as a refresher.
